Rebekah approaches their work (both as a teacher and as an artist) with a lighthearted sense of humor and play, as they hold space for community.



Rebekah Rose (they/she) is an LA based illustrator, muralist and trauma informed yoga teacher. They graduated from California State University Long Beach in 2021 with their BFA illustration. They have completed public art projects commissioned by the city of Long Beach and the city of West Hollywood as well as received state funding from the California State Arts Council. In addition they have been working in non-profit since 2014 where they first started working with survivors of trauma. Currently their work in non-profit is focused on combating the juvenile justice system in Los Angeles county and helping bring healing centered arts inside of detention facilities as well as community sites and schools. Rebekah approaches their work (both as a teacher and as an artist) with a lighthearted sense of humor and play, as they hold space for community.Their artwork centers issues related to queerness, consent, body image, mental health and social justice. They firmly believe that the path towards collective liberation is only possible by centering the needs of those most impacted by oppressive systems and actively working on healing the subsequent trauma that gets stored in the body through movement and creative expression.
